Who We Are

Mission: To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.

The Salvation Army has been around since 1865 and has been active in Portage county for over 35 years.

What We Do

We seek to meet the basic needs of humanity and support for all ages from 6 to 92. We offer programs that speak to every sector of society for all genders.

We offer food stamp application assistance, food pantries, a free clothing room, a children’s summer camp (Camp NEOSA), sports, clubs, and other activities for youth, basic needs assistance for adults, activities for older adults, an adopt-a-family program and holiday meal baskets during the holidays and so much more!
