Description

Here are the job descriptions:

A regular "precinct election official" works the day at the polling locations starting at 5:30 a.m. for poll opening at 6:30 and when the polls close at 7:30 p.m., they go home after the machines are secured, about 8 p.m.

A Voting Location Manager would pick up the supplies the Saturday before the election, and bring them to the polling location for the team to use. They also help return those same supplies and the ballot boxes to the Board of Elections at the end of the night. There is a slight increase in pay for the extra duties.

The "return official" works the polls during the day and helps drop off the supplies at the BOE at the end of the night - they help the manager return supplies and locked ballot boxes.

If interested, please call or text Tiffany Welling at 330-414-1745 or the Portage County Board of Elections at 330-297-3511 or 3514. There is a four-hour, paid training as well.
